In honor of the most confusing Christian holiday, Easter, I made a little easter bunny terrarium with some easter eggs. Hand sculpted and painted, it’s available for sale on my etsy! For the non-religious, just take out the eggs and you got yourself a cute little bunny terrarium.

Why Rabbits and eggs? In folklore, rabbits and hares were known as many different things, but they root from stories of being paradoxical creatures: symbols of both cleverness and foolishness, of femininity and androgyny, of cowardice and courage. these animals were archetypal symbols of femininity, associated with the lunar cycle, fertility, longevity, and rebirth. Because of their connection with the moon in almost all cultures, (moon representing the cyclical nature of life, death and rebirth, along with the eggs, it branched into the common christian practice of hiding eggs and chocolate bunny rabbits.
