A question for those who make terrariums
I’m gearing up to put together some terrariums for the first time, and I’m just curious where you get the little detailed figurines and such to put in them? Are they just dollhouse figures? I really want to put together a terrarium for my work. I work at a domestic violence shelter, and I want it to convey the feeling of freedom and empowerment. Any ideas for me?
Take a peek at some of my stuff and my shop, you can buy figures from online hobby shops search: hobby figurines, train set figurines, HO, O scale figures, etc. They have premade figures at different sizes, but I personally like to do custom work, I use them as (framework) and rework and repaint them. If you have something specific in mind I can help!
Breaking Bad Inspired Terrarium: The Heisenberg
A miniature interpretation of the well known opening sequence of this fantastic TV shows first season. Lining the bottom of this open terrarium are pieces of blue sea glass, closely resembling the blue crystals “Heisenberg” cooks. Alongside the crashed meth lab is the tiniest depiction of Mr. White you may ever see, handmade at about 1/4” tall, glasses tighty whities and all. The RV is a whopping 1/2” long, hand sculpted and painted.
